QuoteFly and QuickBooks Online

QuoteFly supports a QuickBooks-friendly CSV export today. A direct QuickBooks Online integration is being validated in staging and is not available to customers.

Updated by QuoteFly ·

Available now: CSV export

Keep customer, quote, Job, and internal invoice records in QuoteFly, then export reviewed accounting data for a file-based QuickBooks handoff. Review the file with your bookkeeper before importing it.

CSV export does not establish a live connection or automatically reconcile payments.

Verified in staging: sandbox connection

A QuickBooks Online sandbox connection has been verified. Invoice publishing, payment links, and accounting reconciliation still require separate validation before release.

A successful sandbox connection is not a production release. Direct accounting features remain unavailable to customers.

Under validation

The invoice workflow being tested

The current validation candidate covers non-taxable invoices in USD with explicit mappings to existing QuickBooks customers and items. Final launch scope and availability have not been announced.

  1. Step 1 · Pending validation

Review the customer and item mappings

Match the QuoteFly customer and invoice lines to existing QuickBooks Online records before publishing.

  2. Step 2 · Pending validation

    Publish a reviewed invoice

Review a QuoteFly invoice, then explicitly publish it to QuickBooks Online. This is a specific invoice workflow, not a general two-way sync.

  3. Step 3 · Pending validation

    Use a provider-hosted payment link

Where supported by the QuickBooks account, use the QuickBooks-hosted invoice payment experience. QuoteFly would not process the payment.

  4. Step 4 · Pending validation

    Reconcile accounting status

Check QuickBooks records for payment, refund, and void changes, with signed notifications and recovery checks. These workflows still need provider validation.

Before availability is announced, validation must cover duplicate prevention, retries, access controls, accounting accuracy, recovery, and operational support. No launch date is promised.
